

Our butter bar creations are inspired by seasonal flavours and ingredients, and each bar of butter is freshly churned in small batches from local cream, to produce the most delicious butter experience.
Our mission is to inspire how butter can be enjoyed naturally or creatively while cooking, which is why we lightly salt our flavoured butter bars.
Our Chief Executive Churner and Founder, Kate Engineer, grew up in her family restaurant, and with parents who LOVED butter as the base for cooking, or just to enjoy on a delicious piece of bread.
As Kate began to cook and experiment with dishes and recipes, she also was using butter as a main ingredient. In 2018, Kate decided to experiment with flavored butters, and a few days later began the development of Butter Bar.
Our Founder and Chief Executive Churner, Kate Engineer, grew up in hospitality helping her family run their restaurant, and in a home of BUTTER lovers! Her parents always incorporated butter as a key ingredient in their recipes and dishes, and so when Kate began to cook herself, she also chose butter over the alternatives!
During Kate’s role as a Hospitality Communications Director, she was working with a client and suggested they incorporate flavor butters on their menu, and provided some samples that she had made! Well, the client passed on the idea, and the very next day Butter Bar was born!
Kate wants to inspire you to think about butter differently, and have fun experimenting with her flavored butters to create unique recipes, dishes, and flavourful bites!
